A friend, a brother, a DJ. The soul of Bologna, the most rock and glam one. This year Mauro Mazzoli, aka “il Boyler”, would have turned 50. The solidarity Fumetto Card #41 solidarity is dedicated to Boyler and the person who designed it could only be the one who probably designed all the greats of hard rock and metal, Enzo Rizzi, author of the iconic character of the “Heavy Bone” movement and the his great comic stories between distorted guitars.

Boyler is missed in Bologna and all those who loved him are missed, we are talking about thousands of people because Mauro made himself loved. The Boyler Fest, now in its second edition this year, after the resounding success of the first, is organized in his memory.

Appointment for everyone on Saturday 23 September at CLIQUE (ex Giostrà) in Bologna with bands, DJs, friends, workmates, various misfits in short (just kidding… he would have liked it) who renew the sexual date (the luckiest ones) , beer and rock n roll.

The solidarity stickers project is always available to those who want to be part of it, also contributing to awareness and fundraising. With these good intentions, Vicolo Inferno’s proposal to create a solidarity card to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary arrived at Figurine Forever.

The musical group has been the soul and heart of metalhead Imola since 2003, with many concerts not only in the province of Bologna but also in Romagna and in other cities. They have also become a point of reference for the local music scene, through the collaboration with IFMT (Imola fuckin’ metal town), the entity that somehow gathers metal enthusiasts and musicians around itself in the beautiful city of the F1 Grand Prix.

Happy Birthday Statuto! The solidarity Forever Card #26 celebrates the band from Turin and its 40 years of activity.

The ska group takes its name from Piazza Statuto, this important detail is also remembered on the back of the postcard that contains the solidarity sticker, with part of the song dedicated to this point of reference, even today, a meeting place for the Mods culture.

Founder, among the authors and singer of the band is Oskar Giammarinaro, who has already been the protagonist of another solidarity card, the Forever Card #19 with the colors of his beloved Torino FC, a club closely linked to the history of the band, to which dedicated several songs.

Thanks to the availability of Edizioni Amatoriali Qubotondo and the Tipografia Commerciale of Treviso, which produce all our solidarity stickers and cards and on this occasion have decided to work “pro bono”, the entire sum collected, without a single penny being withheld, will be destined to fundraising for people affected by floods and landslides in Emilia Romagna.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the MEI (Meeting Etichette Indipendenti), a long-established partner of Figurine Forever and even more important to have involved them, as Faenza is among the areas hardest hit by the floods of May 2023.

The first edition of the solidarity card is printed in 140 numbered copies, a non-causal number of course.

“Less orgies and more stickers!” .. we are not crazy, it is a semi-quote from the beginning of a song, even if it comes from the album “Belli e Dannati” in 1994, while this year we celebrate the 30 years (30 years?!? help ..) of a another milestone of Italian rock. The Fan Forever Card # 22 solidarity card is dedicated to the RATS!

“Chiara”, “Fuori Tempo” (feat. A certain Mr. Ligabue), “Angeli di strada” and the title track “Indiani Padani”, an album that does not know a moment of tired, hard and pure rock n roll that has led the Rats to tread the most important stages and the most followed TV programs, to have a large audience that loved them and continues to do so today.

Wilko, Romi and Lor have at some point made different life choices, only to find themselves for several years for special events, with that charge that has always distinguished them. We could not miss the opportunity to try to involve them in our project of solidarity stickers, to which they responded with enthusiasm.

The photos chosen are, for the card, of Giansi Campagnoli (historical photographer of the band) and on the bottom of the postcard by Mirko Candelli, taken from a recent concert of the band. The Rats of yesterday and today together. The card also hides an image of the poster of the special concert 2022, where the initiative will be presented in an exclusive preview.

The numbered edition of the card, in just 192 copies, is a deliberate reference to the 30th anniversary of the release of that seminal album. 1992, a year that Italian rock certainly cannot forget and will celebrate it with a special event on Friday 11 November 2022 at the Vox in Nonantola (MO). The lucky ones who will be present that evening will also be able to take home one of the 192 copies available of the Rats solidarity card!

Italian Rock Forever! There are bands and artists that the whole world envies us, we are the homeland of opera and light music, but also in rock, especially in progressive, our school is loved internationally. Not one, but several artists, not one, but several bands. Area, Pfm, etc. and the Banco di Mutuo Soccorso. The FanFover Card # 18 is dedicated to the splendid voice of the Roman band, Francesco Di Giacomo!

Francesco, born in Sardinia, moved to Rome as a child and over the years he will be able to savor all its beauty, including sporting passion. Disappeared in a car accident in 2014, he was a great lover of sports, his wife Antonella told us that he often got up in the middle of the night when the Olympics or other competitions were taking place in distant countries and therefore at unlikely times. He was also a big fan of AS Roma.

The solidarity card represents him as a footballer for the “Giallorossi” club, 1971/72 season. The choice, as always is not accidental, in September 1971 Di Giacomo, during the Caracalla festival, comes into contact with the band that at the beginning of 1972 will take the final name of Banco di Mutuo Soccorso.

The color of the shirt, white, is a reference to the stickers of that season, as the Roma players are photographed. But we thought it would be a shame not to see Francesco also in the classic club shirt and so we made a variant. The solidarity cards, issued in 199 numbered and limited copies, are therefore from 1 to 100 with the 1971/72 shirt and from 101 to 199 with the more generic yellow and red shirt.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the friends of Music Day – Fiera del Disco in Rome and is carried out in collaboration with MEI, we will continue to celebrate Francesco also at the 2022 edition of the Independent Label Meetings at the beginning of October 2022. A heartfelt thanks to Antonella Caspoli, Francesco’s wife, for giving us the opportunity to realize this little dream of paying homage to a great protagonist of Italian rock. Thanks also to Fabio Massimo Iaquone, author of the splendid photo from which the solidarity card was made.

Long live the Italian rock! With great pleasure we announce the 5th FanForever card: Simone Tomassini aka Simone. The Lombard artist has been our point of reference for many years in the Italian music scene, the author of many songs that have remained in the hearts of many fans and in recent days with the new song “C’hanno provato”.

According to Simone himself, the sticker refers to the “great Como” of the late 1980s, protagonist in Serie A and the singer’s birthplace, a team well remembered by many football fans. It is also a small tribute to remember Stefano Borgonovo.

The FanForever Card will be available from 20 October on the occasion of Simone’s double concert in Milan at the Memo Live Club.

It is with great emotion that we announce the 4th FanForever Card: Steve Lee, lead singer of Gotthard, 10 years after his death due to an accident while he was touring the USA on a motorcycle. Steve had a big heart and even if you don’t notice it in this photo, his smile and his will to live was contagious. As was his incredible voice, one of the greatest in the contemporary rock scene.

The initiative was made available thanks to collaboration of the family and Flavio Hochstrasser, a close friend and legal representative of Steve’s rights worldwide. Thanks also to Barbara Caserta, photographer and journalist, fundamental in the preparation of this small project.

Steve was passionate about football, we thought of making the sticker with the Swiss national team shirt because Gotthard is perhaps the band that most of all brought Switzerland to the world, Steve embodied this great country at best, he spoke English, Italian, French it’s German. The Gotthard band was founded in 1992, which is why we decided to take inspiration from the USA94 World Cup stickers.

The FanForever Card will be available from 5 October (10th anniversary of his death) and presented in world premiere at MEI (Meeting Etichette Indipendenti), Faenza, on 3 and 4 October 2020, where our Association will have its own space, thanks the invitation received by the organization.

Faenza and Romagna is not a random choice, the last Italian tour of the Gotthard with Steve Lee on vocals made a stop at the Vidia Club in Cesena. 11 years after that date (24 October 2009) is another way to remember an incredible concert, as Gotthard was and still is.
