Forever Card #25: FRANCO FRANCHI and CICCIO INGRASSIA
The comic couple of Italian cinema becomes a solidarity card, Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia are Forever Card #25. In a probably unedited guise, certainly original. Franco and Ciccio were proud Sicilians, in love with their land and supporters of their hometown team, Palermo.
A good starting point for imagining them as players, perhaps in one of their famous films, as players of the Rosanero club, in a not too improbable game of hypotheses. The two actors are imagined footballers from the 60s, the exact year is deliberately not specified, after all, not even the shirt worn is exactly the same. They wouldn’t be Franco and Ciccio otherwise!
The solidarity card was created thanks to the availability and collaboration of the sons of the great actors: Maria Letizia and Massimo for Franco, Giampiero for Ciccio. The unconventional choice was also appreciated, giving free rein to the imagination and also to have fun. In the cinematic history of the duo there is also a film dedicated to the world of football, it is revealed on the postcard, by removing the card and discovering the image printed underneath. Thanks to the “photo envelope” donated by a collector.
The first edition of the solidarity card is printed in 112 numbered copies. A non-random choice is the total number of films shot together by the two Sicilian actors.
The love for their land is also reaffirmed by the social purpose of this new solidarity figurine, connected to the “Adotta Con La Figurina” project and in particular to Marevivo Onlus, which carries out a fundamental work, thanks also to the commitment of many volunteers , for the care and protection of our beaches, our sea and its inhabitants.

Celebrative Sticker #29: CARLO PEDERSOLI!
Bud Forever! The Celebrative Sticker series deals with paying homage, remembering, celebrating the great champions and personalities of sport. It may happen, as in this case, that a great athlete then becomes even more famous by making a different choice in his professional life. Before becoming Bud Spencer, the actor we all love, Italy had an enormously talented swimmer. With immense pleasure, pride and a certain amount of emotion, the Celebrative Sticker # 29 solidarity sticker is dedicated to Carlo Pedersoli!
Carlo Pedersoli’s sporting career is a succession of great successes in both swimming and water polo. He was the first Italian to go under one minute in the 100m freestyle race, of which he was national champion 7 times. He took part in two Olympics arriving in the semifinals, silver medal at the 1951 Mediterranean Games. With water polo, which he was involved in “occasionally”, he won the gold medal with the blue colors at the 1955 Mediterranean Games.
At the end of the 50s, the future Bud makes the choice to move to South America and somehow gives up his sporting career. Although, having returned to Rome years later, he was called up by the national swimming team to participate in the 1960 Rome Olympics, but without taking part in it; “He should have taken part in it but he preferred to get married that year”, this is the answer given to us by his daughter Cristiana (in the photo below), who clarifies an often incongruent datum found on the internet with respect to Olympic participation.
This whole part of Carlo Pedersoli’s life is also well told in the graphic novel “Bud Spencer” drawn by Roberto Lauciello based on a screenplay by Marco Sonseri (Renoir Comics, 2021), which was very useful in putting us in contact with the Pedersoli family and who have already participated in our solidarity stickers project with the Comic Card # 17 dedicated to Bud Spencer.
In the Celebrative Sticker solidarity sticker we therefore dedicated ourselves to paying homage to a sporting career, sometimes not remembered enough given the greatness of the actor, an authentic legend. The sticker recalls Carlo Pedersoli’s first Olympics, in Helsinki in 1952. However, in the folder we also wanted to remember the man and therefore we have included a wonderful photo of Bud walking around Rome and on the back showing a photo of him as an athlete.
We are convinced that the two aspects of Bud / Carlo’s life are one, important and memorable and therefore both to be celebrated and remembered. As well as his love for Naples and the sea. For this reason, even this second solidarity sticker by Bud Spencer is in support of the Onlus Maestri di Strada of the Neapolitan city, maybe it will also help the young people followed by the organization to get to know this famous fellow citizen beyond the many films they have seen on television.

Forever Card #17: STEFANO AMBROGI!
Mandrakata forever! Now we can say it, on the occasion of FIGUCON 7 in Rome we were very keen to create something related to the world of cinema, in the Eternal City, in the city of cinema. We are happy to have had the opportunity to involve a beloved face, especially in Rome but not only.
The FanForever Card # 17 is dedicated to Stefano Ambrogi, film, television and theater actor. He has worked with great names such as Carlo Verdone, Gigi Proietti and Carlo Vanzina. We remember him in important roles in cult films such as “They Called Him Jeeg Robot” or “Horse Fever” and in many of the most important television productions of the last 20 years.
Stefano is also an avid Lazio fan, we could have chosen for his solidarity card the year of his birth or his debut in the cinema, but also on his recommendation we have chosen to dress him as the “biancoceleste” footballer of the first championship and his idol Vincenzo D’Amico.
The presentation will be one of the great moments of FIGUCON 7, organized within the 33rd edition of Music Day, the Rome Disco Fair, our partners also in the creation of this new solidarity card.
Stefano Ambrogi will be with us on Saturday 7 May in the afternoon, for the meeting on stage and then for the signing of copies at the Figurine Forever stand. An incredible opportunity to get to know him, get involved in his irresistible sympathy and of course have your own copy of the card signed!

Fumetto Forever Card #17: BUD SPENCER!
We are always excited to announce a new solidarity card, in this case we are just as little bit incredulous and certainly very happy to be able to pay homage to a myth. The ComicCard # 17 is Carlo Pedersoli, aka BUD SPENCER!
The initiative was made possible thanks to the splendid and fruitful collaboration both with the Pedersoli family (we thank Cristiana, Diamante and Giuseppe Pedersoli) and with Marco Sonseri and Roberto Lauciello, authors of the comic biography of the great Italian actor, released this year with ReNoir Comics.
As you know, our Fumetto Cards always have a sporting reference, in the case of Bud Spencer we also wanted to pay homage to his hometown, to which he has always remained very attached, Naples. We also wanted to remember the most unforgettable period for Neapolitan fans, which is why Bud wears the jersey of the times of Diego Armando Maradona who, together with many other champions, led the club to win in Italy and in Europe.
It is not the only reference you will find, the particular edition of the solidarity card is a reference to one of Bud Spencer’s most loved films, 163 numbered copies, 63 as the jersey number that the gentle giant wore in “They Called Him Bulldozer”.

Forever Card #15: NOVELLO NOVELLI!
“Forty years at SIP ..”, after 14 solidarity cards linked to personalities from the world of music, we are happy to announce the film premiere, Fan Forever # 15 is dedicated to the great Novello Novelli! The Tuscan actor, seen in many films by Francesco Nuti, Alessandro Benvenuti, but also Mario Monicelli, Giovanni Veronesi and many others.
His facial expressions were a trademark, which became a strong point of Italian comedy. Many watching the various films were anxiously awaiting when Novelli would appear. After a career as a theatrical impresario, he went on to become an actor, probably by chance, in the film “Ad Ovest di Paperino”, 1981, together with his longtime friend Francesco Nuti as well as two other monuments of Florentine cinema such as Alessandro Benvenuti and Athina Cenci, who then formed a trio with the name of “Giancattivi”.
Precisely from that film we remember the famous scene where Novello recounted, with every single fold of his face, the experience of 40 years as a Sip worker (the old Telecom, for the youngest ..). 1981-2021, forty years after his debut in the cinema we had the opportunity to celebrate him with the Fiorentina shirt, of which he was a great fan.
Novello Novelli, born in 1930, left us in 2018, we were able to make the solidarity card thanks to the availability of his wife Silvana, whom we will never stop thanking for her availability and for the memories and anecdotes shared with us. History of Italian cinema, Novello is a worthy representative of it.

“It can be done!”. Perhaps some of you, we can hardly believe it, have never seen Frankenstein Jr. (Young Frankenstein), but we challenge anyone to tell us they have never heard of it. Either way, run and see it, then come back here.
We are happy to announce the Fumetto Card # 13, created by Isabella Di Leo, cartoonist but also a sincere lover of cinema and in particular of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder. Thanks to the two of them and their professional union, a film was born that rightly entered the myth, the costume, the tradition of cinema. Mel and Gene were also friends, they made several films together, but Young Frankenstein remains, even in terms of success, the most successful.
Isabella Di Leo has created a splendid graphic novel (Edizioni Becco Giallo) that tells the story of the friendship between Mel and Gene and of the film, the path that led them to its realization. Di Leo did an amazing job of documenting. As collectors as we are, however long and exhausting, we are sure she had a lot of fun.
Our Fumetto Cards always have a sporting reference, it is our “trademark” that distinguishes us. Here we did not have to investigate the passions of the two myths of American cinema, it was enough to read the comic (we do not want to anticipate anything), but the two crazy people had a passion for tennis. Maybe not to participate in the US OPEN, but their victories have collected them in other fields.

Forever Card #11: GIORGIO VANNI!
Dragonball Forever! And a hundred other cartoon themes, all sung or written or both by Giorgio Vanni. He is the protagonist of Fan Forever Card # 11! The Milanese singer, born in 1963, is actually much more, for example the author of other great names in Italian music. On this occasion we decided to celebrate his best known activity, that of Japanese cartoon themes.
The solidarity card, like all those we make, is not accidental. The debut in the world of cartoons, in the company of his alter ego Max Longhi, took place in 1998. Destiny, the same year, led Japan to reach a final phase of the World Cup for the first time. Could we not take this into account?
