Forever Card #27: ANDREA MINGARDI!

Benessum forever! Another great artist and equally great Bologna FC fan becomes a solidarity card, the Forever Card #27 is Andrea Mingardi!

Born in 1940, the Bolognese singer-songwriter in his long and successful career has been able to reach the hearts of enthusiasts and fans in many ways, surely Andrea cannot be considered a static artist; singer but also an excellent author, actor, spokesman for dialectal music, footballer, painter, writer, jazz, blues, rock and much more. Always with an eye to Bologna.

Among the many professional and life experiences of Mingardi, although it is difficult to make a ranking of the highlights, limiting oneself, with difficulty, to the musical career alone, the songs in the Bolognese dialect from the second half of the 70s must be remembered, still much loved by the public of his city, his personal reinterpretation of immortal songs such as “Caruso” and “O ‘sole mio”, the participation in the San Remo Festival, in particular the 1992 edition with the marvellous song “Con un amico vicino”, in pairs with Alessandro Bono, who sadly passed away prematurely.

Another important aspect of Andrea Mingardi’s life is his passion for sport and football, in particular for Bologna, to which he has dedicated songs from his repertoire, “Cuore rossoblù” and “Le tue ali Bologna” of which he is also the author. sung together with other great Bolognese singers such as Lucio Dalla, Luca Carboni and Gianni Morandi. At the Renato Dall’Ara stadium there is fixed music before each match.

Sport also to show solidarity, Mingardi was one of the founders of the Italian National Singers. For this reason, by moving the card to the center of the postcard, a photo of him on the pitch was inserted with the colors of the Italian music team.

Close to the 60th anniversary of Bologna’s last (for now) scudetto, that of the historic “spareggio” in Rome against Herrera’s Inter in the 1963/64 season, the solidarity sticker unites Andrea’s love for football and this indelible memory for a boy from Bologna in the 60s, so much so that he referred to the team “which is played like this only in Paradise” even in his last literary work. The circulation of the first edition, 109 copies, is a deliberate reference to the year of foundation of the club (1909).

ANDREA MINGARDI for EMILIA ROMAGNA!
With this solidarity card it will be possible to support the “Adotta con la Figurina” project where Figurine Forever engages annually in different solidarity projects. The proceeds raised until October 2023 will be entirely allocated to fundraising for the flooded areas in Emilia Romagna, in particular the musical realities, thanks to the collaboration with the MEI Meeting Etichette Indipendenti of Faenza.
