Happy Birthday Statuto! The solidarity Forever Card #26 celebrates the band from Turin and its 40 years of activity.
The ska group takes its name from Piazza Statuto, this important detail is also remembered on the back of the postcard that contains the solidarity sticker, with part of the song dedicated to this point of reference, even today, a meeting place for the Mods culture.
Founder, among the authors and singer of the band is Oskar Giammarinaro, who has already been the protagonist of another solidarity card, the Forever Card #19 with the colors of his beloved Torino FC, a club closely linked to the history of the band, to which dedicated several songs.
Thanks to the availability of Edizioni Amatoriali Qubotondo and the Tipografia Commerciale of Treviso, which produce all our solidarity stickers and cards and on this occasion have decided to work “pro bono”, the entire sum collected, without a single penny being withheld, will be destined to fundraising for people affected by floods and landslides in Emilia Romagna.
The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the MEI (Meeting Etichette Indipendenti), a long-established partner of Figurine Forever and even more important to have involved them, as Faenza is among the areas hardest hit by the floods of May 2023.
The first edition of the solidarity card is printed in 140 numbered copies, a non-causal number of course.
