Chicco and Ale Forever! Federico Pisani is a great promise of Italian football, born in Lucca, he arrives at Atalanta very young. It seems like a story with a happy ending, but the adverse “destiny” thinks otherwise. On 12 February 1997 Federico and his girlfriend Alessandra Midali lost their lives in a tragic road accident. Chicco is just 22 years old, Alessandra 20. Bergamo have never forgotten them, the Celebrative Sticker #37 is in their memory.
Born in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana but lived in Capannori, as confirmed by his mother Rosanna, Federico moved to Bergamo when he was just 15 years old. In its sporting history he had important coaches (Lippi, Mondonico, Prandelli) and has played alongside Italian soccer stars such as Filippo Inzaghi, Vieri and Tacchinardi.
It is the Atalanta of miracles, the one with the most important youth organization in Italy. He also demonstrates it on the field and Federico Pisani is among the protagonists, in 1992/93 the Primavera team wins the championship and the Viareggio tournament. The solidarity sticker wants to remember that triumphant season.
He made his debut in Serie A when he was just 17, the club relegated to Serie B but thanks also to his plays, the Bergamo team immediately returned to Serie A. This was followed by four goals in the top division in the 1995/96 season. Due to an injury, his appearances on the field were stopped, but at the beginning of 1997 he returned to the field in a journey to bring him back to the best of form. Unfortunately, Atalanta-Verona on 5 January 1997 will be his last match.
Federico’s plays are a pleasure for the eyes, the fans love him. The number 14 shirt becomes a symbol of being Atalanta. It will remain like this forever, after Federico’s death it is withdrawn and the Curva Nord of the stadium is dedicated to him, among the ultras who have always supported him and subsequently never forgotten. The decision to print 114 copies is a small tribute, due, to the Atalanta champion.
