Rainbow forever! The great releases of the solidarity Comic Cards continue in a new graphic format, which makes the right space and “tribute” to the graphic novel from which they take inspiration. Real characters or fictional characters, but with something to say. The Comic Card # 28 is dedicated to a couple of comics, Diego and Simone, better known as “Him and the Bear”.
An LGBT + themed comic that after its great success as a webcomic has landed on the press for Shockdom editions. Our heroes live an intense and sometimes complicated love story in Bologna, surrounded by a group of friends who, through humor, can be defined as excellent representatives of that splendid reality that is the LGBT + community of the city of Bologna, well integrated and promoter, often earlier than in the rest of the country, of battles for civil rights.
The Bear is not just a reference to Diego’s bulk, but is the result of a magical potion that transforms Simone’s companion into a large mammal. Why is this happening, how will they solve the problem? To find out, we invite you to run to the bookstore and buy the volume, you will find much more and you will want on the one hand to read it again, on the other hand to wait for the new chapter!
Author of the graphic novel and of course of our solidarity card is Salvatore Callerami, a Sicilian cartoonist who has been living in Bologna for some time. We thank him for having responded enthusiastically to our proposal and for having fully grasped the spirit of our solidarity stickers, in this case leaving the sports theme and, we could not have done otherwise, with a clear reference to a famous American football team, the Chicago Bears!
