Reggae forever! We are pleased to present the FanForever Card # 13! A solidarity card that is a series of firsts, at least for us. The first not linked to the world of football, the first consequently to basketball, the first of an artist reagge, the first that in addition to celebrating Nico Royale’s favorite team, Fortitudo Basket Bologna, does the same with his more warm, faithful and passionate, the Fossa dei Leoni 1970.
And also the first with the flag of Jamaica, but that’s another story 🙂
Nico Royale is a beautiful reality in the Italian music scene and a reference point for lovers of the reagge, not only as a singer and author, often the protagonist of songs with important themes and sometimes poorly digested by certain environments, but also as an event organizer, starting with the anti-racist Reno Splash festival held every summer in Marzabotto, a city that certainly needs no introduction.
The set of images of the card and postcard, as always, is not casual but studied. Nico wears the Fortitudo jersey from the early 90s, when a very young Nicola entered the Palasport Dozza for the first time. The photo is not retouched, we liked to hypothesize Nico as a champion who arrived from the suburban playgrounds, an image too beautiful to change. Nico and the Fossa dei Leoni, like many other artists, was the protagonist in a CD celebrating the 40th anniversary of the ultras Fortitudo, in 2010, with his “Red Throat for La Fossa“. So we decided to relaunch the partnership for the 50th anniversary of the group, a pity that happened in a period as we all know where sport has stopped, at least sport the beautiful and exciting one, with the public in the stands.
