“In stickers we trust, in prog we trust!“. We are happy to announce the seventh solidarity card dedicated to the world of comics, thanks to Sergio Algozzino and his latest work “THE ONIRIC FACTORY OF SOUND”, a splendid graphic novel published by Feltrinelli Comics, set in the 70s, when next to the claims of the youth movements, a genre was born, the Italian progressive rock, admired and adored by thousands of fans also abroad.
Milano, the youth, the 70s, the terrorism, but above all the music. Easy to be overwhelmed by the images of the story that is invented, the band does not actually exist (or maybe it does?) But surely Algozzino’s passion for music is real and strong. After all Sergio has already been the protagonist of several comic books on the greats of music, from Fabrizio De Andrè to Ozzy Osbourne. Of course he is also known and appreciated for his works on the monthly Linus and on the characters of Nellie Bly and Dylan Dog.
The card is a tribute to the comic band, from which it takes its title, and being in Milano in the 70s, also to the two Milanese teams with the shirts of the time, the boys of the group with that of AC Milan and Tiziana, the singer, with that of FC Inter. “The Devils” and “the Beloved”, after all.
It is almost obvious to involve Sergio Algozzino in an evening where the stickers meet the music through comics. In fact, the Sicilian author will take the stage of the BologninAlive next June 8 to let us listen to the songs of The Oniric Factory of Sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhCVnxfIDkM), accompanied by the Bolognese singer Giulia Mei. So does the band exist or does it not exist? Who knows, to find out you will have to come to Bologna and have the book and our card signed. FREE ENTRY. It will also be the first official presentation of the volume, released in early 2021.
